I publish some of my generative art as NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on the hic et nunc platform. Please see this thread on twitter for my reasons for supporting hic et nunc.
My art can be collected from this page: hic.link/simoncolton and below are some of my recent drops. Many of these NFTs are video pieces rather than the still images here. Please click the images to go to the hic et nunc site.
Imagined Architectures
From the Imagined Architectures exhibition, I dropped three GANlapse video pieces showing the passing of four seasons on buildings invented by a generative adversarial network:
Community Pieces
I’ve dropped a few pieces as part of community building efforts on hic et nunc, including for the Objkt4Objkt weekend and for a hicathon challenge. I also produced a video piece capturing screenshots of the first 10,000 objects minted on the platform, and made a homage piece to jjjjjjjohn!
Evolutionary Art
I dropped four pieces of hand-finished evolutionary art because I wanted more decorative beauty in my creations page!
Save the Dogs of BigGAN and Adversarial Examples
The first of these was a humorous piece that no-one found very funny! Sick of seeing dogs in the generative output of the BigGAN neural model, I embraced the annoyance and dropped a piece where they are trapped in the latent space! I also dropped a piece consisting of abstract art false positives for the ResNet neural model.
The Painting Fool’s Chairs
My first drop was some historical pieces from The Painting Fool’s back catalogue. These chairs were surprising as they were meant to be brightly coloured. Also, The Painting Fool invented the ribbon-like painting style.
